I had sold $25k-paid-in-full coaching contracts multiple times, I should have loved the sales methodology I was using.

I thought I was the problem…

The reality is, it’s the traditional sales methods we are taught.Ā

And, in fact, I literally had a coach that told me that I was the problem. That I could ā€œgraduateā€ to understanding the sales method that just kept not feeling right in my body.

Fortunately, I have a degree in Women’s Studies and Intersectional Feminism, studied somatics and went to grad school to be a therapist.Ā

Everything I had learned about listening to my body (a big tool I used with my own clients) was asking me to listen deeply to myself.Ā

What I heard was that I was never the problem…the method was rooted in toxic capitalism-it was never going to feel right.

And the truth is, just like with all systems of oppression and cultural conditioning, society gives us messages that we are the problem, when the accepted cultural standard is what needs to changeĀ šŸ¤

When you think you are just bad at sales…or that you are harming people by asking for your rates you avoid selling.

Or you come to the sales call with weird energy that the other person can feel.

Or you undersell or discount your services so you don’t have to feel the discomfort around sales.
