As seasons change in our work and world, we have continually faced an onslaught of justifiably dysregulating experiences. Personal, political, and professional, we are all grieving in some way.
Â
In my practice I see the pain and frustration of the current moment and its impact on my students daily. In my own life...well let's just say I am not immune.
Here's what I want to remind us:
➤ It is NORMAL to face difficulty, industry changes, personal challenges, and grief in a way that impacts your work. It is NOT NORMAL to live through hostile political nightmares that threaten your sense of safety.
➤ Part of business is adapting to changes that are outside our realm of control. Again, having a nervous system response to that makes sense. What you need are tools to meet that response - not to completely change your business model or react from intense feelings without making a grounded plan.
➤ There is still money to be made right now - but our strategies need to meet this moment in a way that will be hard to access if your emotions take the wheel.
This is the space to have a conversation about this, with me as your guide, so you can proceed with intention and care.
What we will do together:
1.
We will start with a grounding practice and some guided somatic work to identify the deeper narrative beneath our dysregulation.
Â
2.
We will calm and soothe this part before moving into regulation so we can strategize accordingly.Â
Â
Â
3.
We will discuss the changing landscape of the industry. I will reveal insider observations from my work within hundreds of businesses, as well as my own business.
Â
4.
We will have a collective conversation about what we resonate with, what we want to see, what we want more of, and what speaks to us. This will leave you uplifted and filled with ideas and genuine market research about how to meet people in this moment.
Â
5.
We will imagine the future of feminist business, together.

A note from Cara:
Â
Hello Dear One,
There have been so many changes we have had to face, so much uncertainty we are confronting, and so much grief we have seen and experienced. I have been working with a broken heart. Not just because I have no choice - though in late stage capitalism, I don't - but because I have spent close to a decade being in solidarity with you.
You matter to me.
The fact that you exist on the internet in a little corner I have created because I talk about what I care about is nothing short of a miracle. When I make an offer, it is because I am thinking of how I can serve you.
But I am also teaching from my direct lived experience.
I launched my program while evacuated during the LA fires last January. Before that, my dad died while I was teaching a webinar. As a chronically disabled person (I require insulin to live) I worry about health access in our country next year.
As business owners, we assume risk when we decide to start businesses. However, in many ways, it feels like other circumstances both heighten and exacerbate the emotional toll of our assumed risk. I am feeling this with you - but as someone who has been doing this work for almost a decade, I choose perseverance and I want to help you steward it.
Join me in a space of healing, solidarity, and aligned entrepreneurial action.Â
